Kerala court issues summon against Meera Jasmine

The chief magistrate court of Kozhikode has issued summon to actress Meera Jasmine to appear in a case filed by a producer against her.

According to the case filed on the basis of Malayalam producer and director KA Devarajan, the actress had taken an advance of Rs 5 lakhs from him to do the film Swapnamalika, but failed to honour her commitment.

Meera had approached the Kerala High Court saying that she should be granted exemption from making a personal appearance in the court, on the summons issued Kozhikode court.

However, the High Court has rejected her appeal and asked her to be present at the court on or before August 8.

Currently Meera hasn’t any projects in Malayalam and awaiting for her only release in Tamil Mambattiyan with Prashanth.
