Mumbai: With just few days to go for ‘Dishoom’, Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez are busy with their film’s promotions. At the press conference which was held on Monday in Delhi, Varun Dhawan welcomed the Rajasthan High Court’s verdict on Salman Khan’s 1998 chinkara and blackbuck poaching cases.
The actor, who was in the national capital to promote his upcoming film ‘Dishoom’, said, “I think the law has to take its course and this is court’s judgment. We have to respect it, and I stand with it.”
However, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez on the other hand remained tight-lipped on the issue. After 18 years of legal battle, the Rajasthan High Court on Monday acquitted Salman Khan in the poaching cases.
Salman was reportedly not present in the court when the verdict was announced.
Salman had earlier appealed before the high court, challenging a lower court’s verdict that had sentenced him one and five years of imprisonment respectively in the two poaching cases.
The poaching incidents took place when Salman Khan was shooting for ‘Hum Sath Sath Hain’ in 1998.
