The latest buzz in tinsel town is that Anushka Shetty will be romancing Chiranjeevi in his comeback 150th film, which is titled Kathilantodu, a remake of Vijay’s Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. If all goes well, she will be reprising Samantha’s role. The Telugu remake is produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja and is directed by VV Vinayak.
Interestingly, Anushka shared the screen with Chiru a decade ago in Tagore, directed by AR Murugadoss in which she performed an item number. A source tells DC that she has been approached for the film but nothing has been finalised. Since she has prior commitments like Bhagmati in Telugu and S III (the Singam franchise), Baahubali – The Conclusion, and also Lawrence’s Chandramukhi 2 (a remake of the Kannada Shivalinga), Anushka is taking time to allocate dates.
